After last night’s Fashion’s Night Out celebrations worldwide, September 10 is now and forever the night when fashion roared to life. To kick off fashion week, Anna Wintour (she is Vogue), CFDA, New York & Company and a slew of designers and celebs banded together to bring out the masses to stores nationwide to encourage consumers to shop.

Washington hosted its own Fashion’s Night Out on U Street and at Neiman Marcus in Friendship Heights and Tysons Corner. For several weeks I had been encouraging everyone to buy one of the Fashion’s Night Out t-shirts and rock it. I was a bit surprised to see so few people with the shirts. Despite the lack of shirts, I was happy to see a fellow fashionista, who happens to work at Neiman Marcus in Tyson’s Corner, in her t-shirt at Gin & Tonic Tavern’s one year anniversary celebration. I had to take a pic to represent.

Thanks to photographer Patrick G. Ryan for snapping this pic of my entire outfit. I’m wearing a body-con black dress with my Fashion’s Night Out t-shirt, white express blazer, some kitten heel sandals, a Neiman Marcus bag and H&M headband.
