Karl Lagafeld is releasing a short film starring Chanel darling Keira Knightley as the brand’s iconic founder Gabrielle (Coco) Chanel.  Centered around the opening of Chanel’s first boutique in Deauville, France, the black and white flick, titled Once Upon a Time… premieres at the Raffles Hotels in Singapore on May 8, marking the 100th anniversary of the brand’s first boutique.

Also starring in the short film are French actress Clotilde Hesme, who plays her aunt, Adrienne, models Lindsey Wixson, Stella Tennant and Jamie Bochert, Caroline de Maigret, Lady Amanda Harlech and her daughter, Tallulah. Of course Chanel favorites Baptiste Giabiconi, and Brad Kroenig and his son, Hudson, Sébastien Jondeau, Jake Davis also make cameos in the film.

The film will also be available to mere mortals not invited to the Chanel Cruise 2014 collection in Singapore at chanelnews.com.
