Surrealism is so hot right now, especially in fashion.  Of course it helps that the current Costume Institute exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is about two designers who were heavily influenced by the surrealist movement,  Miuccia Prada and Elsa Schiaparelli.   A lot of designers are offering up their interpretation of the surrealist movement this fall with a plethora of accessories that will have you thinking abstract.

Aldo and Lanvin are giving us a huge kisses with red lip accessories like necklaces and handbags, Diane von Furstenberg drew inspiration from Dalí with her clock and face wristlets; while Charlotte Olympia, Philip Lim, and Nicholas Kirkwood created abstract faces embellished on footwear.  No matter how you choose to show off your artsy side, you won’t go wrong putting your best face forward.
