Ted Baker is joining the elite group of British designer capitalizing on the renewed popularity thanks to Kate Middleton, by opening a flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Offering both men’s and women’s clothing, shoes and accessories, the three story townhouse is located at the corner of 48th Street and Fifth Avenue, just down from retail icon Saks Fifth Avenue.
Ted’s Grand House, the name of the new flagship store, is styled after a 1920s London townhouse with rustic beauty and rural charm. A huge digital window with a clock display hangs above the entrance. The clockface will change into a new design each day. Shoppers will get a more interactive shopping experience as well as a taste of the British tailoring tradition. This Ted Baker store is the third in Manhattan. The other two are in SoHo and Meatpacking District.
