De-stressing poolside after a long day in the office should be a must for every red-blooded American. For me this is the time to slip into something a bit more fashionable since I rarely jump in the water, except to soak my feet. I go to the pool to relax, nap, read my magazines and get away from the laptop for a few hours. My bathing suit has to be flattering with fabulous accessories to keep me looking cool. I always practice safe sun by applying sunscreen prior to sun exposure and make sure I stay in the shade or under an umbrella. I am not an advocate of sun tanning whatsoever.
For my rest and relaxation poolside, I love a flattering bathing suit that is chic and comfortable. I love this Marc by Marc Jacobs Belted Swimsuit, which flatters the waistline with the stripped belt. Of course chillin’ poolside would not be complete without a pair of fabulous Tom Ford Clothilde sunglasses, a Heidi Klein hat, ornate sandals like the one here from Forever 21, cute heart studs by Betsey Johnson, a Flamingo Island Sophie tote to keep all my magazines and books dry and Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick for a touch of glamour on my lips since I skip the make-up altogether.
