Sarah Barton continues Alexander McQueen’s legacy with dazzling collections after taking over the healm as creative director of the label.  As much as we miss Lee, Ms. Barton’s keen understanding of his vision carries the brand into the a new age where it is still relevant, cutting edge and avant garde.  For Fall 2011, she brought back silhouettes synonymous with the house of Alexander McQueen.

Themed “The Ice Queen and her court,” the haunting collection of creams and blacks in Victorian silhouettes that the label’s founder was so fond of.  The accompanying campaign is as chilling and as romantic as ever with model Raquel Zimmerman capturing the mood of the collection in three key pieces. Shot by David Sims, the advertisements, which will surely run in the September issues of fashion glossies, use light to illustrate the icy yet soft and romantic theme of the collection.
