I’m not going to lie, I am not looking forward to the fall/winter chill on the East Coast. After a month in Ghana and St. Barth, it’s been a rude awakening to get back to NYC, and the cold temps and rainy weather we’re experiencing.  The silver lining is seeing all the fabulous coats I’ve accumulated over the last few years plus a few new additions to mix it up.

Quilted coats were never my style because they were never flattering on curvy bodies.  I don’t like looking like the Michelin man in quilted coats of puffers.  In the last few seasons, designers have stepped it up and started designing more flattering and contemporary silhouettes that flatter most figures.  This Karen Millen quilted midi coat checks off all my style boxes.
