It’s been a glorious month vacationing in France. I spent the first part of my trip in the Poitou-Charentes region frolicking in the sun, enjoying the outdoors and eating waaaay too much cheese and saucisson during apero with friends and family.

I know I didn’t post as much as you’d expect but I was on a real vacation so I needed to unplug for a bit. As promised, I thoroughly chronicled the last part of my trip, which was spent in Paris (proper travel guide coming next week). This trip didn’t include too many museum visits because I really wanted to spend time exploring other quartiers of Paris and to photograph architecture. I did venture to the Louvre and my the Palais Royal, one of my favorite places to visit. I spent the morning photographing the Cour D’Honneur and the gardens around the building.

Tip: Get there before 10am to avoid foot traffic. You’ll get all the good quality shots without too many tourists obstructing your view.

I couldn’t resist a monochromatic moment and a preview of fall. The weather was cool enough on my visit to wear a long sleeve dress for a change. This wrap dress is from ASOS and it’s available in sizes 0 to 26. It’s perfect for fall. Pair it with colorful tights when the weather gets a bit cooler.
