Iman partnered with famed interior designer Carlos Mota to create this season’s Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring/Summer ’11. Iman hosted an exclusive first look of her IMAN Home collection and Star Lounge at Lincoln Center.
The lounge features Iman’s exotic and sophisticated fabric collection of prints and wovens entitled IMAN Home that launched this past week. IMAN Home, in collaboration with P/K Lifestyles, a division of P/Kaufmann Inc., marks Iman’s first venture into the home arena as she expands her empire, which includes cosmetics, fragrance, apparel and accessories.
In conjunction with Iman’s bold décor elements, acclaimed interior designer Carlos Mota teamed up to provide artistic direction and bring to life the 30’ by 26’ Fashion Week hideaway fully equipped with cozy couches, chairs, daybeds, full bar and private sitting area. Carlos, known most notably for his time spent as Editor-at-Large of Elle Décor, joined the project to oversee the design concept. Table and floor lamps and additional room accents were generously provided by Global Views and Calico Corners.
