Forget sweater weather, let’s talk leather weather. Fall and winter are the perfect times to wear leather and vegan leather garments. Not only are they warm clothing options when the temperature dips, but they also up the cool factor when styled with the right accessories. There’s a leather look for every style and budget this season because almost every retailer took the hint from the AW22 runway and added some leather/faux leather pieces to their collections.

From Zimmerman and Ferragamo on the high end to Anthropologie and ASOS on the contemporary end, brands of all price points have created leather and faux leather pieces to spice up your wardrobe. Shop some of my top skirt picks below.

I’m yet to find a leather moto jacket that flatters my broad shoulders so my love for leather shows up in the form of skirts and dresses. My Mare Mare faux leather skirt is from Anthropologie and is available in sizes XS to 3X and Petite. I love sticking to the same color palettes for a more sophisticated aesthetic. This outfit works for the boardroom just as well as it would at a cocktail bar or a Michelin-rated restaurant for a date. Speaking of dates, how fabulous would this outfit be for Valentine’s Day? You’ll be all the sweet chocolate he will need.

Leather Tip: I loathe wrinkles and I find it difficult to get them out of my leather and vegan leather pieces. The wrinkles are even more prominent after taking them out of the box. A quick and easy solution to removing wrinkles from leather is to use a steamer on the inside of the leather item. That way you won’t destroy the leather or cause it to shrink. Most of my leather garments have a fabric backing to make them easier to steam. If you don’t have a steamer, just hang the garment in the bathroom but away from water and let the steam from the shower remove the wrinkles.
