The Duchess Of Cambridge Visits The National Portrait Gallery

Despite being halfway through her pregnancy, Kate Middleton isn’t slowing down.  The mom-to-be has even added more events to her schedule for the next month.  She was at the National Portrait Gallery this evening for the launch of the Art Room’s ‘Pledge for the Future’ fundraising drive – she is a patron of both the gallery and the charity.

Kate looked regal in an iced blue sleeveless, knee length dress by Emilia Wickstead.  The empire waist showed was flattering on her growing belly.  Of course, she never takes a misstep when it comes to dressing for her shape.  She completed her look with grey suede Rupert Sanderson pumps.  Her already enviable hair was even more thick and lush, credit to her pregnancy hormones.  She wore it half up with soft curls cascading down her back.

She also gave small remarks during the event, which many of the press in attendance lauded because her public speaking skills had greatly improved.

“I am a firm believer in the power of art to make a difference and The Art Room is doing that on a daily basis.

“We all stand here tonight to celebrate this wonderful work.

“I hope that you will join me in congratulating The Art Room and their supporters on these extraordinary achievements.

“As patron of The Art Room, I feel immense pride to see the amazing work that they are doing but I also feel hugely excited to look to a future with more Art Rooms, where many more challenging and vulnerable children will be helped.”
