Kanye West has been keeping a low profile since the Taylor Swift incident, which is a good thing, since he became the most hated man among the tweens and country fans. Aside from a few ramblings on his blog and being spotted in Italy and London, the rapper has kept mum…until now. Kanye has emerged after several months out of the limelight in the Japanese street wear label A Bathing Ape spring/summer 2010 catalog and campaign.
Mixing Japanese influences with American aesthetic, A Bathing Ape, Bape for short, has created a collection that is sure to be a hit among the hipster and hip hop set. Kanye's mixed style of street wear and high fashion is showcased with preppy cardigans and military inspired shirts and bomber jackets. I would even wear the black jacket seen above.
Kanye on the Bape s/s 2010 collection:
"THIS SHOOT WAS MAD FUN. THIS COLLECTION USES REALLY GREAT FABRICS, EASY TO WEAR CUTS AND STILL THE OCCASIONAL SUPER EXPRESSIVE DECADENT PRINTS. BAPE RAN THE LAST DECADE AND THEY'RE READY FOR THE NEXT ONE!"
