If you haven’t been to Potomac Mills Outlet Mall in Woodbridge, VA, you’re missing out on top notch discounted shopping.  I grew up shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue’s Off Fifth, Nordstrom Rack, Banana Republic and recently Cole Haan, Brooks Brothers, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Coach and many more stores.  I bought a St. John’s gown for $450, originally $2800 at Nordstrom Rack for the Inauguration and get my shoe fix at the dozens of shoe stores.  New and better stores spring up each year in any of the nine neighborhoods so shopping tends to get exciting for me.
Potomac Mills just announced the opening of two fabulous stores this spring, a 10,000 square foot Victoria’s Secret and J.Crew Factory Store.  The Victoria’s Secret lingerie, beauty and apparel store will be an actual store, not an outlet. It is expected to open its doors in May.  The J. Crew Factory Store opens in June with a stock of iconic fashions that have become synonymous with Michelle Obama’s style. Both stores will open in Neighborhood 1 of the outlet mall.
Potomac Mills is located right on Interstate 95 South and is the largest outlet shopping destination in Virginia. Even though the location isn’t metro accessible, you can get there easily during the weekdays by hopping onto the Blue Line to Franconia Springfield, then getting on the PRTC Transit line to Potomac Mills.  You can also rent a Zip Car from any of the multiple locations in the Washington metro area and ride on down.
