Betsey Johnson turned 70-years old last week and feted it in style with friends and family in New York City. The designer, who filed for bankruptcy earlier this year has even more reason to celebrate. She will show one more time in the tents at New York Fashion Week, this time a retrospective runway show that will feature some of her vintage pieces from the Seventies, Eighties and early Nineties.
The designer posted on her Facebook fan page asking fans who own some of her pieces to submit photographs for consideration in the show. That’s right, die had Betsey fans who own vintage pieces will get the chance to have them show at Lincoln Center. This means we’re going to see the designer do one more split at the end of her runway show before bidding adieu to the tents for good.
