Happy Friday! I hope you’re gearing up for a fabulous weekend.  I want to start out by saying thank you to all of you who sent me DMs or wrote sweet comments on my Instagram posts and stories this week.  I’m starting a new series called Friday Finds, where I share items I’ve discovered that week or recently purchased.  Before I get into my inaugrual list,  here is a recap of what happened on GD this week.

For those of you who loved my Curried Butternut Squash recipe, I’m glad you loved how easy it is to make.  It’s been a recycled recipe in our kitchen.  Over the Knee boots are a key transitional item to wear from early autumn to late spring.  Check out nine of my current favorites here.  Heading to Cuba any time this year? If so, don’t leave the country without downloading these seven essential apps for a seamless trip.  I adore prints of all kinds and hold ankara prints close to my heart.  Now on to my first Friday Finds.

No. 1:  New Yorkers walk everywhere, including to the grocery store.  I usually shop for my own groceries, that’s right, I don’t get delivery. Not having a car doesn’t deter me.  This year, I have vowed to ditch the plastic bags for a more eco-friendly alternative.  I love Apolis Market Bags because you can customize them to show off your city pride. You get three lines to enter text. I’m thinking of customizing mine to include my Instagram handle and Brooklyn, New York.

No. 2: It’s hard for me to find a good nude bra to match my skin tone.  It seems like most  brands define nude as a shade of porcelain.  I discovered Evelyn & Bobbie last year prior to their launch and have been coveting their Everyday Bustier True Complexion convertible bra, which has! received rave reviews and goes up to a size 38DDD.  I wear a 38DD and need a strapless bra to wear with all my off the shoulder tops and dresses.

No. 3:  I’ve been using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair line for a few years now and absolutely love it.  I stopped using it last year because I was trying another serum.  I decided to go back to old faithful and just purchased a bottle to add to my skincare rotation.

No. 4:  Statement flower earrings are trending this season and I am all for it.  If you’re not into wearing floral prints, large flower earrings are your next best thing.  I am loving this blue Amarise Floral Stud Earrings and at only $36, it’s a choice that won’t break the bank. Plus get 15% off your first order.

No. 5: I need these Quay After Hours sunglasses.  As if I don’t have enough sunglasses in my closet.  They remind me of the Celine Marta sunnies but at half the price.  At $55, I can afford to get a pair.  Now which color to choose?

No. 6:  NARS is always top of mind when it comes to blushes and cheek stains, their limited edition Easy Glowing Cheek Palette is perfect to achieve a sun-kissed glow.  I love the Coucher de Soleil palette, which includes three beautiful shades that will match olive and dark skin tones.

No. 7: Beauty bloggers Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores just partnered to launch a beauty brand called Summer Fridays.  Their much talked about Jet Lag Mask  landed at Sephora this week and has been all over my Instagram feed.  Meant to be used on flights for it’s moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties, it’s also a mask to be used anytime your skin needs a pick-me-up.  I need to add it to my Sephora cart stat!

No. 8: Blogger Chriselle Lim just launched a collaboration with J.O.A aka Just One Answer, today at Nordstrom and I am all for it.  The relaxed yet classic pieces are inspired  by Rome and feature dresses and separates that are perfect the summer vacations. I love this corset jumpsuit in red stripe.

No. 9: If you are going to buy one affordable bag this spring, make it a raffia bag, which has exploded all over as the material of choice for summer bags.  I am coveting this Circle Rattan Handbag by Mark & Graham. It’s available in natural and a white color. What makes this piece special is the nautical stripe panels, which gives it such a summer feel. Oh and did I mention it’s $49?
