FendiFendi’s collection for spring 2014 menswear was inspired by the “Extreme Heat” of the Sahara desert.  The Italian fashion house set the tone with large sand dunes covering the runway.  The sandstone colors, beige and burnt oranges reminiscent of a setting sun were seen throughout the collection.  It was for a youthful and more fashionable modern day Indiana Jones.

Slim suits and over-sized outerwear were the key elements to the collection. It was Italian menswear at its finest, with sharp suiting and relaxed outerwear that gave alternatives and comfort to a wardrobe.

Colors of rust, ochre and indigo, although limiting, gave Fendi the chance to focus on the details, which included raw edges, detachable sleeves and bonus straps for weekender bags. These were functional items that are meant to last a long time and in varying uses.

The entire Fendi collection was a lesson in work wear done right and perfectly suited for a diverse age range.
