I realized today that men really aren’t as superficial as they are often portrayed in the media. We’re raised to think that men want only the hottest girls, who sometimes don’t have the intelligence, grace, humility and strength that the “wife material” posses. AskMen.com, today, released its annual Most Desirable Woman of 2010 list. Beating out some major Hollywood vixens is Entourage’s Emmanuelle Chriqui, who nabbed the number one spot. Rounding out the top five is supermodel Marissa Miller, actress Kate Beckingsale, supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio and actress Jessica Alba with Beyonce falling in at number six.

“Hearing what the Top 99 vote is made of is the biggest compliment of all because it’s not just about being ‘hot’ but about being a well-rounded woman,” says 2010’s No. 1 Most Desirable Woman, Emmanuelle Chriqui. “That’s really empowering and is just a massive compliment to me – people recognize that I care about other things.”

The Top 99 Most Desirable Women is decided by an annual poll in which AskMen.com readers are asked to consider more than instant sex appeal and cast their ballot for women who embody the traits that they desire most in a potential companion such as intelligence, humor, talent, and character. Emmanuelle was ranked number twelve last year but rose to the top of the charts after beating vixen Megan Fox, who dropped to eleven this year after being overexposed.  According to AskMen.com, even though men’s magazine’s couldn’t get enough of Fox, several sites banned together for A Day Without Megan Fox in 2009.

More than 6 million people voted for the 99 Most Desirable list so it should be a great honor for even the 99th women, who happens to be Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Congrats to all of them.
