Ebong Eka, Washingtonian magazine’s Best Dressed man of 2007, is launching his ready-to-wear men’s suit label Mi Chiamo Eka on Tuesday, August 5, 2008. Ebong Eka’s first charity fashion show and label launch will include a one-of-a-kind runway show featuring some of Washington’s most eligible bachelors, Philippe Cousteay, Sherif Abdalla, Tony Hudgins, Fletcher Gill and Steve Chenevey, with portion of the proceeds benefiting the Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund.
Ebong Eka is synonymous with classic menswear. Eka’s customized ready-to-wear line of moderately priced suits are for the gentleman with a sophisticated taste. Each suit incorporate impeccable Italian craftsmanship, top of the line fabrics and tailoring fit for royalty. Garment prices will range from $1,000 to $1,500 for suits; $200 to $250 for shirts and trousers.
Tickets for the Mi Chiamo Eka label launch party and charity runway show are priced at $50 in advance and $60 at the door. Come dressed to kill for one of the hottest labels to hit the DC scene. Open wine bar, passed hors d’oeuvres as well as live entertainment courtesy of DJ Dirty Hands are all in store for the night.
