Only two more days left until the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touch down on US soil but before they do, they have a few more appearance to make in Canada, where their fan base has grown exponentially.  Of course we all know the real reason people are tuning in to the Royal Tour, we’re all obsessed with Kate’s style.  Prince William isn’t shabby but the spotlight really does belong to the newly minted royal, who’s stolen the show everywhere she’s been since landing in Ottawa on June 30th.

From Erdem to Joseph, LK Bennett to By Marlene Berger, Kate’s style choices seem to have a common theme, navy and nude.  She knows how to pack for a 12 day trip, sticking to similar color palettes allows her to accessorize and look chic without having to bring her entire wardrobe with her.  So far, she’s worn almost the same jewelry, a few new pieces, including Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Sebago, Smythe and Catherine Walker and reinvigorated old favorites to create new looks.

For her departure from Yellowknife yesterday, Catherine showed off her svelte and toned figure in a tight navy cropped pant with a light olive Burberry Military Pocket Jersey Shirt from several seasons ago.  On her feet was a pair of Sebago Bala Boat shoes in a nude color with white pipping.

We think Kate looks smashing in all her looks and disagree with the nay sayers who proclaim she isn’t a fashion icon.  The Duchess isn’t looking to land on the fashion pages with her outfits and probably doesn’t expect to become besties with Anna Wintour.  She dresses for herself and for the masses, who relate to her because she shops in stores that almost every ‘average’ Jane can afford.
