AM New York asked four designers to dream up a wedding dress fit for princess-to-be Kate Middleton for her upcoming nuptials on April 29.  Lela Rose, Rolando Santana, Amsale Aberra and Anne Bowen stepped up to the challenge to sketch their rendition of what Kate should wear on her wedding day.  Lela Rose chose a strapless dress for the bride, saying that it channels Kate’s “modern sensibility.”

Rolando Santana created a short sleeved gown with tons of hand-pleated silk-gazar layers for Kate.  His look is very youthful and modern, something that Spring/Summer brides would love.  Amsale Aberra‘s design is truly fit for a princess.   She dreamed up an ivory peau-de-soie ballgown with a fitted draped bodice featuring a bateau illusion neckline of Chantilly lace. The bottom of the gorgeous gown is adorned with lace appliqué, embroidery, and pearl and seed beads.
