I first introduced you to designer Bishme Cromartie two years ago, after the launch of his first womenswear collection, The Evolution. The then 17 year-old self taught designer from Baltimore, Maryland was making waves in the Maryland fashion scene and making bigger splashes in Washington, DC.  It was then that he nabbed the cover article in the Style section of the Washington Examiner.

Mr. Cromartie has since designed four other collections, all self-funded.  His latest, an ode to Spring, titled The Color War Collection, is showcases Mr. Cromartie at his best, playing with textures, shapes, dimension and vibrant colors that only bold and fashionable women dare to wear.  His clothes have depth and speak volumes of the talent he posses.

Mr. Cromartie’s talents will continue to develop and mature as he gains more experience.  It is sometimes amazes me the amount of design talent hailing out of our nation’s capital.  I consider Mr. Cromartie in the triumvirate of extremely promising talent in Washington, DC.  He joins, Tashia Senn and Taimur Baig as ones to watch.
