That’s not the space ship from Michael Jackson’s ‘Scream’ video. It’s the traveling Chanel Mobile Art exposition. The Chanel Mobile Art exposition is a tribute to the fashion great Coco Chanel and her emblematic quilted bag created in 1955. The exhibit is currently in Hong Kong but will be touring around the globe to major fashion capitals like Tokyo, London, Moscow, New York, Los Angeles and at last Paris in February 2010. The Chanel Mobile Art is the first movable traveling museum. 
CHANEL lovers can pay homage to their fashion saint. Twenty contemporary artists such as Yoko Ono, David Levinthal, Rock & Giles, Wim Delvoye, Leandro Erlich, and Sylvie Fleury created pieces using the quilted CHANEL bag as the subject for the museum.
The CHANEL Mobile Art was designed by architect Zaha Hadid, 2004 Laureate Pritzker Prize winner, whose work includes the Nuragic and Contemporary art museum, the Glasgow Transport Museum, the BMW Central Building, and many more buildings.
Each visitor to the CHANEL museum will be given a portable MP3 player and guidelines on navigating the collection. The CHANEL Mobile Art museum will be on exhibition in June 2009. The museum is open to the public and is free to all.
