Women’s Wear Daily reports that Banana Republic is opening his first store in France this winter.  The 16,000 square-foot flagship store will open in Paris at 22 Avenue des Champs-Elysées.  Though the retailer’s parent company, Gap Inc, has opened close to 40 Gap stores in France since 1993, this will be the first time a Banana Republic opens its doors to the French public.

“Following the success of our London and Milan openings, we are delighted to bring Banana Republic to Paris and take another exciting step on our international growth strategy,” said Stephen Sunnucks, president, International at Gap inc.
