Gossip Girl’s resident bad girl Jenny Humphrey doesn’t give a rats ass what people think about her, except for her father’s approval of course. In real life, Taylor Momsen, who plays the troubled teen, would make Jenny ran under Blair’s cocoon coat. The actress has said in recent interviews that she has “a knife collection. I have my favourite black knife with me all the time. It’s a switchblade. It relaxes me to flick it. I close it and open it.” Yea she’s a bad ass alright. The grunge teen’s style parallels that of her “bad ass” attitude. Dark make-up, dark eye shadow, messy hair, ripped tights and an attitude to match. I do have to give her props for the splash of color she opts for on the red carpet. The girl sure cleans up nicely. She recently fired her stylist and was quoted in an interview saying:
“I think firing my stylist has allowed me to be more free. I now dress myself, and told everyone who was telling me to look a certain way and fit a certain mold for the niche that I was being put in, and I said f—- that. … I was getting molded into this thing that wasn’t who I am.”
Uhmm, like, OK! I’m scared of getting near her in fear of getting stabbed or knifed with one of her knives. I give the teen props for matching to the beat of her own drum. She has a band called The Pretty Reckless, whose images, lyrics and sound mimic that of her image as a grunge/punk girl. Their new music video is out, what are your thoughts? I actually like the song and think she’s got a great sound. If Gossip Girl ever goes off the air, Taylor can always fall back on singing.
