Hundreds of Washingtonian women will be lined up at the doors of the District Sample Sale this Wednesday, September 16 to get the chance to snag some fabulous threads from the area’s hottest boutiques. Yours truly will be there to shop my favorite stores in hopes of seeing some of my most coveted frocks on sale at ridiculous discounts, all in the name of charity of course.
I’ve been attending the District Sample Sale for the past four seasons and I always come out a winner with tons of bargains. If you don’t mind wearing last season’s collections, which I don’t, I highly encourage you to buy your ticket for this bi-annual event. Sample sales can be intimidating and overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time. I’ve outlined a few tips and guidelines for the sample sale virgins out there. Aside from the tips in the guide below, I encourage you to purchase your tickets now instead of waiting until the day of the event.
Remember that everyone at the sample sale is a bargain hunter so don’t if you see something you like, snag it immediately and try it on. I encourage my friends to always wear a unitard under their clothes so that they can strip in public to try on pants and dresses.
