Anyone who knows me is probably aware of my shoe addiction so its no wonder that I have now taken a liking to local shoe designer Kassie Rempel of Simply Soles. Kassie invited me to her Columbia Heights showroom to preview her fall collection. The cozy little shop nestled in the quickly booming neighborhood is one of the best kept secrets in Washington.

Each season Kassie hand selects rare finds and exclusive designs from brands like Butter, Chie Mihara, Tory Burch, Betty Mueller and Taryn Rose, just to name a few, to give women with discerning tastes special finds that will be treasured for years to come.

What really caught my eye was Kassie’s own label, lillybee, a line of well priced and well made shoes that everyone desires. Sure I love my Louboutins, Manolos and Guieseppe Zanotti’s but nothing beats classic and timeless yet sexy heels that I can wear all day without being in pain. Kassie’s lillybee line offers just that, an assortment of beautiful shoes, each named after a celebrity, that women around the country have been coveting since their launch. Each season she designs a new collection, adding a few new pieces to the mix.

I tried on a few pairs being carefull not to get too attached because I’ve been known to oversplurge at shoe stores. I absolutely love the lillybee line, not only for the beautiful shoes but for the price. Nothing in the line is over $250 with most of the shoes in th $150 – $175 price range. In this economy, who wouldn’t want some relief in spending without sacrificing style. Kassie gifted me with the heels pictured above, the Eva, named after actress Eva Longoria. Just as its name sake, the Eva is classic, sophisticated but has a playful flair with the leather ruffle on the toe. I took the shoes out for a night out on the town on Wednesday night. I paired it with my black Twenty8Twelve dress and a black Neiman Marcus bag.

Verdict: I didn’t want to take them off. Even at the end of the night when I ended up at a bar in Georgetown where 95% of the girls had switched from their heels to flats or flip flops. The only reason I took them off was to avoid spilling anything on them during a game of flip cup.

I spent over 2 hours on the website, which is super intuitive and user friendly. You can always request a shoe catalog, which has beautifully photographed shoes from the current season. Go check out the store and tell her the Glamazon sent you.
