My friend Nadine Namoff is in the running for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year and I am proud to be a media sponsor. Nadine is hosting some incredibly fun events, including soccer parties, happy hours and a fashion show called Couture for a Cure, on May 7 at Peacock Grand Cafe in Washington, DC.

All the candidates running for Man & Woman of the Year have been affected in some way by leukemia, which is the deadliest blood cancer that affects people of all walks of life. Nadine is no exception. She lost her father in 1995 to a twelve-year battle against non-Hidgkin’s Lymphoma. Such a heartbreaking story but Nadine isn’t letting that stop her from raising awareness for the disease.

Donating to her cause is very simple and easy. Simply follow this link and make a donation in any amount you see fit and help us save lives.

Don’t know how much to give?
$50 Covers the cost of one CT scan.
$40 Covers the cost of sending a comprehensive support and informational packet to the family of a child with cancer.
$35 Provides transportation expenses for a patient living in the DC metropolitan area to a comprehensive cancer center for treatment.
$25 Covers the cost of one prescription co-payment.

The competition is fierce to see who will win the title so I encourage you all to please help out by donating. Help Nadine take this cause to the Nth Degree.

Nothing is sweeter than fashion for a cause and Nadine knows this. The fashionista, who is also married to DC United soccer player Brian Namoff, has rounded up some hot DC United soccer players for her fashion show. That’s right ladies, hot boys with nice legs (you know they’ve got some awesome quads if they play soccer) will be hitting the runway in some great ensembles by local designers to kick Leukemia and Lymphoma out the door. Tickets are just $55 and will be so worth it. Get your tickets now before they sellout. I’ll be there to ooh and ahh as the guys walk down the runway and I know you won’t want to miss this.
