Wow has it been a year already since Gilt Groupe, the popular online sample sale site, launched? I remember getting an invitation from Katherine Kennedy a year ago to join this ever growing community of fashionistas and gets who did not have the time or patience to go to New York and sift through sample sales.
To celebrate their anniversary of delivering Oscar de la Renta, Bamford and Son, Ali Ro, Valentino, ADAM, Cynthia Steffe, Marc Jacobs and all the much coveted after labels, Alexis Maybank and Alexandra Wilkis Wilson threw a dinner at the Thompson Lower East Side’s new restaurant Shang last Thursday and invited a few of their closet friends. Nina Garcia, Samantha Boardman Rosen, Marjorie Gubelmann and Alex Kramer co-hosted soiree.
