How to Style a Midi Skirt in the Summer

How excited are you for the coming weekend? I am looking forward to getting a reprieve from the rain and gusty winds we’ve been barraged with this week in the New York City area with sunny 80 degree weather all weekend long. I have a few projects I need to tackle around the house, as well as a few deliverables for clients so my weekend will be spent sitting in the backyard garden with a glass or rose and my laptop. Hey could be so much worse right?

What are you getting into? If you’re anything like me, it’s probably carving a few blissful moments with friends virtually or for those lucky enough to see your pals in person (with social distancing rules of course), with a brunch date. No matter how you choose to spend your time, I hope it’s in something and flirty as this midi skirt from H&M.

I know what you’re thinking, “not another midi skirt Mak!” This skirt length if figure forgiving and looks so good on different body types, especially for curvy girls who want to accentuate their waistlines. I typically pair them with a tight fitting top to play up proportions. Add a dainty sandal like this gold Loeffler Randall Emilia pair for panache.

Speaking of Loeffler Randall, this is my fourth pair of shoes from the New York based brand. I love their styles of these metallic pleated sandals, which can be dressed up or down depending on your style. They instantly fancy up any outfit I wear. I love that this collection comes in various heel heights and so many colors. I’ve linked my favorite pairs below.
