Monochrome Blue Outfit for Fall

I’m feeling blue, in a good way of course! We finally got sweater weather last night in NYC and I couldn’t wait to wear the faux fur sweatshirt I snagged from ASOS a few weeks ago. It’s fully lined and perfect for cold fall winter nights. I’ve been restyling old pieces all week to show illustrate that you don’t need to buy new things every season. It’s an eco-friendly and budget-conscious way to live. Plus you get to save all that money you would have used to buy items you might not wear next season on a weekend getaway or a lavish brunch with friends.

This skirt is from last fall. It’s from the Atlantic Pacific x Halogen collaboration that launched at Nordstrom last year. I fell in love with the volume and texture of the skirt. It’s such a statement on its own but I wanted to up the wow factor by added depth with faux fur, along with plaid and corduroy. The sweatshirt is so soft. I wore this outfit last night for the launch of Sarah Jessica Parker’s sunglass collaboration with Sunglass Hut.

The SJP x Sunglass Hut collaboration is inspired by styles of sunglasses the Sex and the City icon wore in the 90s. Sarah Jessica Parker co-designed the wraparound sunglasses ($159), which comes in five colorways, with Sunglass Hut. They are available for purchase at Sunglass Hut stores in NYC and online as well as SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker boutiques in New York City, and SJPbySarahJessicaParker.com.

I added new accessories to my wardrobe because I don’t really own a lot of bags. I have classic bags I love wearing on a daily basis but I don’t like taking them out at night to events just because they aren’t practical. I bought a few bags from Charles & Keith and Topshop recently because both of these brands have beautiful bags at affordable prices. This push lock bag from Charles & Keith retails for $59 and comes in three colorways.

The pointy Mary Jane flats are also from Charles & Keith and retail for $39. They come in four colors and are super comfortable. I am thinking of adding the mustard color to my collection as well. I love the corduroy texture, which adds dimension to any outfit.

I also bought several new patterned tights to my fall/winter collection because I want to show off my personality when I have to bundle up. This one is from Emilio Cavallini but I found two similar styles from Amazon and Target.
