10 Hair Accessories to Wear This Spring

This week, I’m rounding up the top spring trends I’ll be wearing once the weather warms up.  A lot of you ask me to create a dedicated post with links to accessories and other clothing items you’ve seen me wear on Instagram so this week is dedicated to all of your requests. Let’s kick things off with ten hair accessories to wear this spring.  It was a huge trend on the spring 2019 runway shows but let’s face it, hair accessories never left.  Just ask Kate Middleton.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been spotted many times with headbands by Jane Taylor, the last time being on Christmas Day. Now let’s get real, not everyone can afford the $1000 crescent moon headband by the royal milliner. Thankfully, our trusted friend Amazon has a wide selection of chic headbands and hair accessories that won’t break the bank.

This spring, celebrities, and influencers will be adoring their manes with dainty pearl hair clips, ornate headbands, fabric hair accessories in luxe materials like velvet and silk.  You’re also going to see a lot more people rocking blinged out hair clips with bold words on them.  Selena Gomez was spotted wearing the clips with the word “Ugly,” editors and influencers were rocking Kitsch barrettes with the words “Drippin” and “Glam” during fashion week.  Lucky for you, these clips cost $29 but you’ll have to add your name to the waitlist.

Hair jewelry isn’t just for the bride any more ladies thanks to accessories designer Jennifer Behr and her celestial hair clips and the sold-out galaxy crystal bandeau headbands.  All these trends can be styled to suit your aesthetic.  For instance, you can accessorize dark denim, a t-shirt and a moto jacket with these barrettes; finish off an evening gown with celestial clips like this one, or accessorize a dress with an ornate headband like this one. I can see a modern bride wearing this stunning Venus pearl crown by Karen Wolf for her rehearsal dinner or wedding reception.

Where can you find these hair accessories? For my luxury ladies, head to Net-a-Porter, Neiman Marcus, ShopBop, Jane Taylor and Karen Wolf and Lele Sadoughi.  My babes on a budget can get on the trend train by shopping on Etsy, Kitsch, Forever21, and Amazon.
