HP Envy x 360

After nearly 15 years as an Apple user, I’m making a switch to a Windows laptop for my day-to-day and on-the-go computing.  Deciding which Windows operating system to choose was getting me flustered so I went to Best Buy yesterday to play around with various brands currently on the market with the latest technology and software.  I fell in love with two Hewlett Packard laptops, the HP Envy x 360 and the Spectre x 360.

The main reason for the switch is the cost effectiveness of buying a Windows operating system. HP has been on my radar since 2008 when they collaborated with the Sex and the City 2 film on functional but stylish laptops for The Savvy fashionista.  The brand is now back on my radar now that I’m in the market for a new computer.

I have to say having a Best Buy just a few blocks from my house is such a godsend because I was able to actually touch, play and feel the laptops and make sure that whichever one I picked would suit my lifestyle. I’m often on the go so I need something light and compact but powerful; a laptop that will fit in my small purses but be able to perform beautifully for editing video and photos for my blog.

HP Envy x 360

Both HP Envy x 360 and the Spectre x 360 laptops are touchscreen, with fast AMD processors especially for working with my Adobe Creative Suite programs like Photoshop, Premiere, and InDesign but I am leaning towards the HP Envy x 360 because it’s in my price range. It comes with all the bells and whistles of a sleek computer for the modern girl.  This includes the Bamboo Ink Smart Stylus to work with the Windows Ink program, which allows the user to take notes, draw and get creative.  I also love how crisp and vivid photos and videos look but the bonus feature of the Envy x 360 is that it swivels all the way around, turning the laptop into a tablet. So you’re pretty much getting a two-in-one computer/laptop for under $1000.

Best Buy is currently offering $100 off the HP Envy x360 laptops – the 13 inch and the 15 inch sizes – until July 28, which was also a big perk to go for this model.  I love a good deal, don’t you?
