It’s official, I don’t think I am going to be wasting money on designer sunglasses anymore. Call me reckless or stupid but I end up always leaving my sunglasses at the bar, restaurant, someones car or house. I lose at least four sunglasses a year, which adds up in the long run. If you spend at least $250 on sunglasses four times a year, that’s $1000 that could have been put a savings account for something special. One of my favorite sunglasses this season is Tom Ford’s Whitney and Jennifer sunglasses. Spending $300 on a pair of sunglasses makes me feel guilty especially when I know someone could really use the money. Don’t get me wrong, I will be splurging once in a while but after losing another pair of sunglasses, I have decided to buy a Faux-Ford.

This is the Tom Ford ‘Jennifer’ Oval Frame Sunglasses, $340. I bought the Whitney two months ago and love it so much but would love to own the Jennifer as well. Since I’ve already splurged on one pair, I don’t think it’s a good idea to splurge on another. P.S. Reward for whoever finds my Chanel sunglasses.

Instead of splurging on the Tom Ford sunglasses, I found a similar style at Old Navy for $9.50. You can’t really tell the difference between the two sunglasses. I save $330.50 if I buy these sunglasses instead of splurging on the Tom Ford. That means I can use the left over money for a weekend at the beach.
