If you are one of the lucky girls to score a ticket to the hottest fashion event in DC, first congrats. The next thing you need to know is that you have to dress to impress. This is a fashion show and you, as a well informed fashionista, should be in your best designer duds. You don’t have to wear the latest trend if it doesn’t fit your personality or style. You should always make sure that whatever you are wearing is flattering on your body and the color should always compliment your skin tone/hair. I put together three looks for three different women. Use these outfits as guides. You can mix and match them to fit your own style.
The Coquette
Coquette is fierce, think Samantha from Sex in the City. She knows no boundaries and is willing to do anything to get what she wants. She is sexually confident and knows how to work a room. Christian Louboutin Pigalle and the Rachel Zoe snake clutch. This woman loves attention so the snake emblems on the ring and clutch will definitely turn heads. Finish off the look with a lace jacket from Dolce and Gabbana. This look is all about texture, from the lace on the jacket to the croc clutch and the link bracelet.
The Vixen
The Vixen is the balance of the Coquette and the Ingénue. She is confident and alluring but knows when to let a man be a man. Everyone wants to be around her. She is loved by all because though she is strong, she is also sincere and treats everyone well. This glamour girl dresses to impress. This girl knows what works for her body. For the vixen, I chose a body skimming Herve Leger dress. The bandage style wrapping of the dress is sexy but chic because it does not over expose. It’s champagne all the way for this girl. I accessorized the dress with champagne shoes, hoops, clutch and a necklace. I borrowed a few inspirations from both the Coquette and the Ingénue. Vamp up your personality with color and don’t be afraid to show ’em what you’ve got.
The Ingénue
The Ingénue is the innocent, gentle, sweet, virginal girl who can still stand her ground among these two powerful women. She is stylish and elegant with an innocent flair. This girl is a Ralph Lauren or a Milly girl. She knows how to have fun and her drink of choice is wine or a sweet mixed cocktail. Think Charlotte from Sex in the City. For the Ingénue, I started with a strapless A-line dress. The dress is flattering on a lot of body types. I accessorized the outfit with pink pearls and a Cartier Love bracelet. Pair chocolate Manolo Blahnik mary janes and a chocolate clutch to complete the look. Don’t forget your pashmina to cover up when it gets a little chilly.
