Springtime is all about Lilly Pulitzer because bright sunny days in DC deserve vibrant colors and fun prints. I am a devout Lilly fan but I think I toned down my look when I got out of college. I have friends who are die hard Lilly fans who rock the look year round and there is nothing wrong with that. What I love about Lilly is that everything in the collection is something I would wear. My look is a mix of preppy chic and glamour couture so I love mixing and matching clothes to fit my personality. You would not catch me in Lilly and Jack Rogers sandals. No ma’am. Too preppy for my taste. Now there are those occasions when I feel the need to go prep star so please don’t penalize. Here are a few of my favorite springtime Lilly looks. So fab.

The Angelette Dress in blue paired with the High Life heels, Calista sunglasses, and the bamboozled bracelet. All that is needed here is a pearl necklace, think Lanvin or something out of the ordinary, do not go for the boring single strand. If this is a nighttime look, I suggest a triple strand pearl necklace with an eye catching brooch clasp. You will also need a thin pashmina for those cool Washington spring nights and a clutch or a handbag for all your knick knacks. This is a Gold Cup worthy look; just get a hat and you are set.
