My girlfriend just called me to ask for some fashion advice. What should she wear this evening for a night out on the town. I said, “That depends on where you are going.” There are a couple of things going on in the city tonight and one must ask, “Gucci pumps or Delman flats?” Tonight is a little bit of a catch 22. There is a charity at City Tavern Club the requires attendees to be dressed fashionably. I on the other hand want to just put on some jeans, my J. crew cashmere sweater and Delman flats. Mind you I am sitting on my couch in a blue BCBG kimono dress. I wore it to run errands all day.

So I told my girl to just put on some jeans and a nice sweater, add some pearls and put on some pumps. That way, we can either do the beer and soccer thing at Rugby or dancing at Smith Point or Josephines. The practical thing to do is just to put on a dress and some pumps that can be appropriate for an elegant affair or a night out club hopping with the girls. Here are a couple of suggestions for the girls.

For the glamazon that’s looking to try her hand at poker at the Chance for Life event at City Tavern:

I have two options for the casino ready girls. If you are curvy, try this Adrianna Papell Bead Babydoll Dress and pair it with the Valentino strappy pumps. The A-line on the dress diverts attention up towards your face and decollete. For the girl who wants to show of some curves, try this Bailey 44 ‘Shutter’ Strapless Dress with these gorgeous Manolo Blahnik D’orsay pumps.
I was shopping with my friend Sarah in Georgetown last weekend after our sumptious brunch at Peacock Cafe; we ventured in to French Connection. I immediately saw this gorgeous sequin dress hanging on the sale rack. The dress fit so well and could think of nowhere else to wear it out club hopping with the girls. Perhaps but to Josephine’s on a saturday night, a night like tonight. I love showing of my legs however, I loved the idea of covering up a bit to go for the go-go look. So why not pair this dress with these gorgeous Christian Louboutin boots.

I love seeing petite girls show of some legs. A shorter dress elongates the legs so pair this purple number with the greyish Louboutin sling backs. The combo is so unexpected. Break up the monotony of black and purple. Add a few accessories and the Bottega Veneta clutch.

This is my outfit for the night. I saw the sailor pants and the blouse at Macy’s last night and couldn’t resist. If Taylor is reading this, please forgive me. I know I said I wasn’t going to buy anything else. na-na-na-na-naaaaaaaaaana! It’s a little chilly out tonight so I am going to pair the INC outfit with the sexy Report Signature pumps. The black and white combo reminds me of Chanel. I got the clutch from Nordstrom. it is by Franchi. I know the clutch looks familiar. It’s an imitation of the more expensive Bottega Veneta clutch in the first outfit combo. See you all out tonight ladies. Remember these outfits can be accessorized in different ways to get different looks.
