Let’s face it, winter has been toying with us since March 21 and as much as we try to will for warmer weather, there’s nothing that can be done.  We’ve had sporadic warm weather and I’ve taken every opportunity to sit outside in the backyard to soak in some well needed rays – with sunscreen of course.  Lucky for us, this weekend is going to be in the 70s, which means, time for outdoor brunch! We’ll be in Montreal, where snow is in the forecast all weekend.  Lucky us!

I’ve been shopping a bit for spring pieces for upcoming trips to Miami, Martha’s Vineyard and Montreal.  I know I’ll be packing a lot of dresses and one or two  pairs of jeans.  I normally choose NYDJ jeans for the support and figure friendly styles.  As for dresses, I often opt for midi or tea length dresses with cinched waists.  I know what flatters my body and tend to stick to that silhouette.  I picked up a polka dot wrap dress from Eloquii a few weeks ago.  It’s very flattering and such an easy piece to wear out for brunch with the girls or dinner with T.  I actually love the quirkiness of polka dots, which remind of Minnie Mouse.  I’ve picked 17 polka dot dresses I am loving for spring.

I am drooling over the pleated polka dot dress with contrast collar and sleeves by Alessandra Rich. ASOS has several options with ruffles, drop waists and wraps and are affordable. I also love this one from Dress Barn.  It’s perfect for upcoming Gold Cup Horse races or to wear as a guests of an outdoor wedding ceremony.
