Thank God it’s Friday! After such a hectic week, mama needs a cool, stiff cocktail to unwind. One of my favorite liquors is gin. In fact, the gin martini is my go to drink on any given day. Don’t get me wrong, I love the sweet stuff too but there’s only so much sweet drinks I can have.
In the vein of gin drinks, I have to sing the praises of the gimlet, a simple, well rounded drink that takes just 5 minutes to make. My roommate offered me some fresh blackberries she had no use for. Instead of making a smoothie, I opted to update the gin gimlet I love so much with these succulent blackberries. This recipe is so easy, it only requires good gin. I only had Gordon Gin on had tonight but I often go with Bombay Sapphire, the gin the beau prefers. Feel free to swap vodka in place of the gin.
You’re going to need the following tools to prepare this Muddled Blackberry Gimlet. These are all bar essentials that can be found at Cocktail Kingdom, Williams-Sonoma or Target.
