Clearista Retexturizing Gel Review

My skin has been acting u a bit since my week long trip to Atlanta in June.  I spent countless hours lounging at the pool and for some reason, my sunscreen didn’t give me adequate coverage.  I got back to NYC with a crisp tan and skin peeling to go with it.  My face was another story.  I had splotches and dryness on my face because I spent a lot of that time in the chlorine pool.  When I got back home, my first instinct was to head to Elizabeth Arden for an overdue facial.  Since my aesthetician was booked, I decided to go into my treasure trove of beauty products and try Clearista Retexturizing Gel, a new product that’s been on my radar since the GLOSSYBOX beauty trip to the Hamptons a few weeks ago.

Clearista Retexturizing Gel by Skincentials is a facial exfoliant has tiny white biodegradable beats that gently slough off dead skin from the face to reveal a soft smooth surface.  After cleansing my face, I applied a small amount in circular motions for about 60 seconds then rinsed.  I followed up with my regular skin care routine.  The Clearista Retexturizing Gel directions also say it can be used on dry skin but I have sensitive skin so I didn’t want to risk it.

I love this product.  I have been using it three times a week since I got back from Atlanta in June and my skin hasn’t felt smoother or clearer.  I love that the product is mindful of the environment.  The micro beads are biodegradable, meaning they won’t end up in our landfills. The product touts other benefits, including aiding to “reduce the appearance of rough and bumpy surface blemishes, but is also effective at reducing the appearance of age and sun-related folding and wrinkling of sensitive areas around the eyes and mouth.”

The Clearista Retexturizing Gel can also be used on other problem areas on the skin, including:

  • Rough or dry patches, including roughness on the hands or elbows
  • Rough chicken skin bumps on the face, arms, legs, and backside
  • Small white, pigmented or flesh-colored bumps on the arms or face
  • Dark spots
  • Skin Bumps

A 4oz. tube of Clearista Retexturizing Gel retails for $70, enough for 45 days of use.  You also get two extra small tubes for two additional weeks of use.
