Millions of women all over the world are waiting on pins and needles for the premiere of Fifty Shades of Grey, in theaters tomorrow, Friday, February 13th. The Today Show gave an exclusive screening of the movie for 1100 lucky women in New York City last Friday. The biggest surprise was the appearance of the major stars of the film, Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, Eloise Mumford and the book’s author E.L. James.
The organizers did not spare any expense in putting together a dramatic entrance for guests. After standing in the freezing cold at 5:30am, we finally get into the Ziefield Theatre, where staff gave each of us a replica key of Christian Grey’s red room. Sexy no? The laid out the red carpet for us with roses galore and sexy servers dressed in grey suits offering up sparkling water and juices.
The film’s stars arrived around 7:30am just in time for the screening. Their red carpet moments, complete with a dozen flashing bulbs from photographers, were captured on the Today Show. Several of my friends texted and called me to let me know that they kept showing my face on the show throughout the morning, with the most notable being the moment I took a selfie with Eloise, who plays Kate, Ana’s roommate in the film.
