In the most beautiful setting imaginable in Paris, Palais Garnier, models displayed Stella McCartney’s RTW Fall collection based on loungewear and sporty styles with attention to the rubber-soled shoes. The most loungy of them all, the chunky knit pajama-style pants are one of fall’s key trends evidently. Piece after piece, she enforced the ease and energy of movement in her collection.
The true surprise was McCartney’s emphasis on handwork with zipper details and rope embroidery details on jackets and oversize sweaters. She incorporated tie die in a couple of her looks to add to the minimal design. A couple of beautiful short cocktail dresses with exceptional detail of draped silk cord fringe, finished off the show perfectly.
