The New York Fashion Week may be over, but the buzz of all the styles and trends for spring and summer is still going.

The laid back, ready to wear Steven Alan collection is filled with a basic, soft palette, seersucker and floral.

If you like boyfriend jeans, you’ll love this collection. And you’ll probably stop stealing an oxford from your man’s dresser too. Masculine womenswear never looked so good. The collection had voluminous silhouettes and loose layering. Mix and match with separates of suiting, drawstring pants and oversized chambrays. But the best part (at least to me) is the outerwear. I just love trench coats and the ss’14 trench coat comes in a standard white – but is floor length. A great standout piece.

Yes masculine inspired outfit is still in need of a touch of femininity. Balance the masculine tone of the pieces with feminine accessories with a wide-brimmed hat, a vintage purse and heels or oxfords.
