Hey Ladies!!  I hope you enjoyed your long weekend as much as I did!

Whether you were chillin’ in the Hamptons or kicking it in OC, you may have asked the age old question while at the liquor store, “Should we get tequila for margaritas tonight or vodka for bloody mary’s in the morning?”

To quell that argument, I suggest grabbing some tequila and Gran Marnier for some Gran Margarita’s, then some Zing Zang Bloody mix for Bloody Maria’s in the morning.  A Bloody Maria is like a Bloody Mary but with tequila instead of vodka for a unique zip.

Also, this week I’ll be using the term “Parts” instead of “Oz” as units of measurement, it makes it a bit easier for mixing drinks at home.  Simply add the total of the “Parts” and divide.  So for the first drink it’s 1/2 Tequila, 1/6 Lime juice, 1/6 Agave Nectar, 1/6 GM.

Sauza Gran Margarita

Sauza Margarita

What you’ll need:

  • 3 parts Sauza Silver Tequila
  • 1 part Lime Juice
  • 1 part Agave Nectar
  • 1 part Gran Marnier Drizzle
  • Kosher Salt
  • Shaker

1. Combine over Ice in shaker:
Sauza Silver Tequila
Lime Juice
Agave nectar

2. Shake lightly and leave mixture in shaker
3. Coat top of glass first in lime juice, then place rim in kosher salt; twist
4. Pour mixture into glass leaving room so the salted rim doesn’t get wet
5. Top with Gran Marnier drizzle and garnish with a lime wedge

TIPS: I won’t hate you if you wanna get the mix. To opt for store bought Margarita mix, just leave out the Lime juice and agave nectar then sub with Sauza Margarita mix. Also, if you wipe the salt off the inner rim, it won’t collect in the bottom of your glass. Cheers!
