Kim Kardashian might have an enviable closet filled with hundreds of thousands of clothes that most of us will never own, and she makes it a point to flaunt all her purchases on Twitter, Instagram and her blog. Even her beau, Kanye West showers her with lavish gifts, making us average girls green with envy. So it comes as a surprise that designers are unwilling to loan her clothes. Yea! Looks like Kim just doesn’t cut it when it comes to the high fashion crowd. After all, Anna Wintour won’t even extend an invite to her for the Met Gala. Oof! Burn!
The pregnant reality star is featured in the March issue of Elle magazine wearing Tom Ford, vintage Chanel, Roberto Cavalli, Oscar de la Renta, Sister by Sibling, Giuseppe Zanotti, among others. Her editorial was styled by Thierry Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti, who fesses up to the magazine that he had a hard time pulling clothes for Kim. “People wouldn’t lend me the clothes. But that’s fashion snobbery,” said Formichetti.
Well Kim doesn’t really need designers to loan her clothes because she can afford to buy them herself and wear them for magazine covers. We certainly don’t feel sorry for Kim in the least bit. But she does look amazing in the editorial shot by Miguel Reveriego.
