Kerry Washington rarely gets it wrong on the red carpet. Despite mixed reviews of the Peter Pilotto dress from Spring 2013 she wore last night to the Django Unchained photocall in Rome last night, the actress’s skill in pushing the envelope and dressing for the occasion is stellar.
Drawing inspiration from the somewhat Afro-centric nature of the new film, Ms. Washington wears a mixed print frock fusing many of the current trends, including ruffles and a cutout bodice. She paired the dress with a pair of black and blue eyelet Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Classic’ pumps – I bought the booties from Last Call last summer.
