My first introduction to Christian Dior beauty was with the DiorShow mascara, a staple in my makeup bag that keeps my eyelashes lavishly lush all day and all night. Since then, I’ve added to the collection with nail polishes and eye shadows.  The French fashion house just unveiled its newest beauty boutique at Bergdorf Goodman, tying in with the iconic department store’s 111th Anniversary celebration.  I, along with a select group of online editors, was invited to preview the new Dior Beauty Boutique as well as the new fall collection.

Located on the lower level of the Bergdorf’s prestigious beauty level, the new Dior boutique is one of the focal points, covering 470 square feet of space.  Shopping at this beauty boutique is a luxury experience with 16 monitors of a video installation especially made for Bergdorf’s by Yoram, also responsible for the electronic wall at the French label’s flagship on 57th street.

The new Dior Beauty Boutique at Bergdorf Goodman has the latest beauty collection including makeup and fragrances.  This includes the prestige La Collection Privée collection, 13 luxury eaux de parfum from Dior.  Launched over the last two years, the exclusive collection retails for $155 – $230.  Dior beauty lovers will rejoice over the inclusion of L’Or de Vie, the treatment line that includes serums, face creams and cleansers.  Taking it a step higher, the Dior Beauty Boutique also has a treatment room for facials and other skincare regimens.

Cosmetic lovers need not worry, the Dior beauty counter is a makeup lover’s playground.  Stocked with the latest color cosmetics, foundations, blushes and nail polishes, it’s going to be hard to keep your credit card in your wallet.  One of my favorite collections worth checking out is the limited edition new Golden Jungle Collection, a camouflage/leopard collection of eye shadows and nail polishes that will be flying off the shelves quickly.  So run to Bergdorf’s or make your appointment for a skin treatment or a custom fragrance made just for you at the Dior Beauty counter on your next visit to NYC.
