Being single in the city has been an adventure but as we near our thirties, we can’t help but think it’s about time to take this dating game seriously and commit.  We’ve decided to go on a blind date thanks to the urging of married friends who loathe third wheels.
Coffee and lunch dates are the best for blind dates in our book because the pressure of a good night’s kiss or that awkward ride back to our house are eliminated.  Coffee dates are an easy way to get to know someone in the day light without the fear of alcohol impairing judgment.  For our blind date, we’re opting for an ensemble that says we’re mature, stylish but can roll up our sleeves and have fun with the boys if the occasion arose.
Dark denim is the easiest to dress up in our book, which is why Ann Taylor’s coated denim modern skinny jeans are a must try. We don’t want to scare our date with an overly bright flouncy blouse or appear too eager in a revealing to.  The cream and black floral tie neck blouse from Topshop strikes the perfect balance between sexy and sophisticated.  We’ve kept accessories to a minimum with a cuff bracelet and small earrings.  Adding a bit of height to our ensemble is the playful polka dot Mary Jane pumps from Forever 21.
