Happy Friday lovelies! Can you believe we’re almost through the end of April? Where did the time go? I for one am excited for this month to come to a close because I get to celebrate my birthday on April 29th. I will be in O’ahu, Hawaii for two glorious weeks basking in the sun and enjoying authentic poke bowls. Let me know if you’ve ever been and give me tips on where to go, eat, play and frolic.

5 Must Have Skincare Products

I’ve received so many messages about my beauty routine and products I use and though I try to provide links via Instagram stories, I realized I haven’t done a beauty post on here in quite some time. My apologies. So without further adieu, here are five beauty products I’ve had in rotation since January.

First up on the list are two products from It Cosmetics I’ve been using since their launch earlier this year. The brand launched Confidence In A Cream Rosy Tone and Confidence In A Neck Cream along with two other products, Confidence in a Foundation (a full review to come) and Confidence in a Gel Lotion in February with a press preview that I attended.

Confidence in a Neck Cream contains elastin, collagen, hyaluronic acid, shea butter, ceramides, seaweed extract and niacin to help lift and improve firmness, elasticity and smooth skin. It’s clinically tested to reduce the look of horizontal neck lines and it comes with a face and neck citrine roller depuff and smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

I’ve gone through over 6 jars of the original Confidence in a Cream since its launch a few years ago so I welcomed the chance to try Confidence in a Cream Rosy Tone Surface Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Vitality Moisturizer, It does everything the original does but has rose tone pigments to add instant vitality back into the skin. It also exfoliates the skin and stimulates cell turnover for a more youthful glow.

Tula Pro-Glycolic Resurfacing Gel Toner

Tula Pro-Glycolic Resurfacing Gel Toner

I discovered Tula Probiotic Skincare products last year and have added half of their product line to my skincare routine. I use their eye cream, serum, and cleanser but the rock star product I’m obsessed with from the brand is their Pro-Glycolic Resurfacing Gel Toner.

The toner is my first step after cleansing my face, usually with their Purifying Face Cleanser. I apply a small amount onto my cotton pad and dab it on my face. It’s helped smooth and shrink my pores while brightening my skin and eliminating some of the dark spots. This toner is good for all skin types and works well for aging skin to smooth and balance the skin.

Clarins Extra-Firming Phyto-Serum

Clarins Extra-Firming Phyto-Serum

I picked up the Clarins Extra-Firming Phyto-Serum during the Bloomingdale’s beauty floor opening at their flagship store back in December. I added it to my skincare routine when my old serum ran out. I love Clarins products and have woven them in and out of my skincare routine for over 8 years now. I love the efficacy of their products and this serum doesn’t disappoint.

The gel-like consistency glides onto the skin effortlessly and dries very fast, leaving my skin feeling supple and replenished. The formula boasts ingredients like Kangaroo Flower and Mitracarpus extracts to smooth and firm up wrinkles. It also has White Lupine extract to tighten the skin. It also has my favorite ingredient, Hyaluronic acid to hydrate my skin. I recommend this serum for aging skin in your 30s and up. Opt for a lighter serum for younger skin.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream

I had heard so much about the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream but didn’t want to believe the hype. I FINALLY added to my night time routine and noticed such a difference in the moisture level when I woke up each morning. It’s got Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamins C & E, BioNymph Peptide, Aloe Vera & Shea Butter to plump and smooth the skin while fighting wrinkles. I have now started using it as a moisturizer under my foundation for extra glow.

If there’s one product that’s been a major skin saver this season, it’s my Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel Cleansing Powder. Wow wow wow! My friend Lara from Pretty Connected raved about it so much so that I decided to give it a go.

After cleansing, I add one dose into the palm of my hand then add a drop of water to activate the product. I apply it to my skin and leave it on for about 45 seconds then rinse off. It sloughs off dead skin cells thanks to the probiotic enzyme found in green tea and supports cell turnover with the help of papaya enzymes.

I started off using the Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel Cleansing Powder three times a week so that my skin can get used to it. Now I use it every night after double cleansing to give my skin the opportunity to absorb the rest of the products in my skin care routine.
